Therefore, it is also suitable for somewhat stronger martial artists who can hit with more power and thus the upper material significantly more stressed. The material is also so robust that you can use the boxing gloves not only for partner training but also for sparring and for punching bag training, in other words, everywhere where the load on the boxing gloves is the greatest.

* On the inside of the wrist there is extra padding, designed mainly to protect the wrists when blocking punches and kicks. But even if you keep your hands in the guard, part of the opponent's punching force penetrates through the guard. As a result, you take light punches from your own hands, especially in the wrist area. These self-hits can be unpleasantly painful. Thanks to the padding in the wrist area, the Combat Gloves dampen the unintentional self-punches and ensure that they are gentle and painless. CHOOSING THE RIGHT BOX GLOVE SIZE The term "boxing glove size" is not actually a size, but indicates the weight of a single boxing glove in the unit OZ (1 OZ / 1 ounce = 28.35 gr). The goal of this OZ specification is not to adjust the size of the boxing gloves to the size of the hand, but to adjust the desired protection of the boxing gloves to the punching power of the carrier. The rule is simple: the heavier the boxing glove in OZ, the more padding it has, and thus the higher the level of protection (due to increased shock absorption) it provides. Even though the heavier boxing gloves (which has more OZ) are usually also slightly larger than the lighter ones, this difference in size is not the deciding factor. When choosing the number of OZ it is very important to consider first of all the punching force resulting from the body weight (body mass x acceleration = force) and secondly the role the boxing gloves should play in the training. The heavier (and thus the assumption) the stronger the athlete is, the heavier boxing gloves ( due to better protection by thicker padding) the athlete should wear.

FUNCTION OF BOX BANDAGES - important note:

The boxing gloves should always be worn with (fresh) boxing bandages because:

* the boxing bandages bind the hand into a compact unit so that the punching force (of one's own) is distributed over a larger fist area and over several knuckles of the hand. This reduces the load on individual knuckles and thus the risk of injury.

* Boxing bandages stabilize the wrist very well and minimize the risk of twisting in the joints and associated injuries.

* the boxing bandages very effectively absorb sweat from sweaty hands and therefore protect the boxing gloves from moisture, which significantly shortens the life and functionality of both the synthetic leather and padding.

* Boxing bandages absorb most of the bacteria in our sweat and thus prevent the boxing gloves from smelling unpleasantly.
