A top model among the Daniken boxing gloves! Specially developed for Muay Thai (Thai boxing).
The slightly softer, highly elastic padding of the boxing gloves allows both easy opening of the hand and firm closing of the fist.
These are ideal conditions for typical Muay Thai techniques where opening the hand is very important when throwing the opponent and blocking kicks.
The longer shape in the wrist stabilizes the striking arm very well and the additional padding on the palm side of the wrist and forearm offers extra protection when blocking hard kicks.

PROPERTIES
- Made of tear-resistant cowhide leather of the highest quality.
- Special 4-layer foam padding -> Optimal for Muay Thai requirements.
- Extra long shape for a stable hold on the wrist and more protection.
- Padding on the inside of the wrist for effective cushioning when blocking kicks.
- Thumb sewn on completely to minimize the risk of injury.
 - Color: Black
- Sizes: 10oz - 16oz

* These boxing gloves are extremely popular with Muay Thai fighters because they are perfect for Thai boxing. They fit the hand like a glove and offer a comfortable but firm fit. The long wrist section keeps them firmly on the wrist, which results in additional stability when worn. Highly elastic, hand-molded padding made from the best and most expensive EVA and latex foams provides pleasantly soft shock absorption.

 * There is additional padding on the palm side of the wrist and forearm, which is typical of Muay Thai boxing gloves. It provides extra protection for the wrists, which are often exposed to particularly high loads when blocking very hard shin kicks. But even if you keep your hands in the guard, some of your opponent's punching power will penetrate the guard. As a result, you receive light punches from your own hands, especially in the wrist area. Thanks to the padding in the wrist area, the Storm gloves cushion unintentional self-punches. This padding also proves to be very useful in partner training where the boxing gloves often serve as pads and cushion punches to the wrists.
* Many small openings have been made in the leather on the inside of the boxing gloves and on the inside of the thumbs to provide more hand cooling and reduce sweating. This is comfortable for the hand and also prevents the boxing gloves getting too wet from sweaty hands. Moisture has a very negative effect on both the leather and the padding and significantly shortens the life of the boxing gloves. In addition, sweat contains a lot of bacteria that cause the boxing gloves to smell unpleasant over time. It must also be said that boxing gloves should always be worn with boxing bandages because the boxing bandages absorb sweat very effectively and thus protect the boxing gloves well from moisture and bacteria.
See below for more information on the function of boxing bandages.

* In the wrist area, the boxing gloves are cut in such a way that they can be easily adjusted to fit any wrist circumference. The two halves of the boxing glove can be overlapped along the opening slit by pulling firmly on the Velcro strap to achieve a perfect fit and stability in the wrist.

* The thumb is sewn to the boxing gloves as a whole, thus preventing both thumb injuries and accidental slipping of the thumb into the opponent's eye.

CHOOSING THE RIGHT SIZE OF BOXING GLOVES
The so-called "boxing glove sizes" are not actually sizes, but indicate the weight of a single boxing glove in the unit Oz (1 OZ / 1 ounce = 28.35gr). The aim of this Oz specification is not to adapt the size of the boxing gloves to the size of the hand, but to adapt the desired protection of the boxing gloves to the punching power of the wearer. The rule is simple: the more weight in Oz the boxing glove has, the more padding and therefore more protection (through better shock absorption) it offers. Even if the heavier boxing gloves (which have more Oz) are usually slightly larger than the lighter ones, this size difference is not the decisive factor. Much more important when selecting the number of Ozs is firstly the punching force resulting from the body weight (body mass x acceleration = force) and secondly the function that the boxing gloves should fulfill in training. The heavier (and thus the assumption) the stronger the athlete is, the heavier the boxing gloves should be (because they offer better protection due to thicker padding).

The second most important criterion when selecting the OZ is for which training task the boxing gloves should be used? You need relatively little padding, i.e. a few ounces, if you only use the boxing gloves for punching bag and claw training, because a low ounce is already sufficient to protect the hand. You need more ounces for partner training because you also want to protect your partner from injuries and pain with the slightly thicker padding. The heaviest boxing gloves, i.e. those with significantly higher OZ numbers and the thickest padding, are used for sparring because you want to guarantee the best cushioning of hard punches and therefore the best possible protection against injuries. So you can see that when choosing the right "boxing glove size", it is not the hand size that is decisive (although not entirely unimportant), but above all the punching power, which largely results from the body weight and also the function that the boxing gloves should fulfill in training.

FUNCTION OF THE BOXING HANDWRAPS- important note:
Boxing gloves should always be worn with (fresh) boxing bandages because:
* the boxing bandages bind the hand into a compact unit so that the (own) punching force is distributed over a larger fist area and over several knuckles of the hand. This reduces the load on individual knuckles and therefore also the risk of injury.
* the boxing bandages stabilize the wrist very well and minimize twisting in the wrist and the associated injuries.
* the boxing bandages absorb sweat from sweaty hands very effectively and thus protect the boxing gloves from moisture, which significantly shortens the service life and functionality of both the leather and the padding.

* These boxing gloves are extremely popular with Muay Thai fighters because they are made for Thai boxing. They fit like a glove on the hand and offer a comfortable but firm fit. They have a long wrist piece that holds them firmly to the wrist resulting in added stability when worn. Highly elastic, hand-molded padding made of the best and most expensive EVA and latex foams provides a pleasantly soft cushioning of the blows.

* The palm sides of the wrist and forearm have additional padding that is typical for Muay Thai boxing gloves. It provides extra protection to the wrists which are often subjected to particularly high loads due to blocking very hard shin kicks. But even if you keep your hands in the guard, part of the opponent's punching force penetrates through the guard. As a result, you receive light punches from your own hands, especially in the wrist area. Thanks to the padding in the wrist area, the Storm gloves dampen the accidental self-punches. This padding also proves to be very useful in partner training where the boxing gloves often serve as pads and dampen the blows to wrists.

* At the inside of the boxing glove is a breathable mesh material placed to provide more hand cooling and reduce sweating of the hands. This is comfortable for the hand and prevents sweaty hands from making the boxing gloves too wet during use. This is because the moisture has a very negative effect on both the upper material and the padding and significantly shortens the life of the boxing gloves. In addition, there are bacteria in the sweat, which cause the boxing gloves to smell unpleasant over time. In this regard, it must also be noted that the boxing gloves should always be worn with boxing bandages, because the boxing bandages absorb the sweat very effectively and therefore protect the boxing gloves well against moisture and bacteria.

More information on the function of the boxing bandages is given below.

* In the area of wrist, the boxing gloves are tailored so that they can be adjusted very well to any wrist circumference. You can overlap the two halves of the boxing glove along the opening slit by pulling firmly on the Velcro strap and thus achieve a perfect fit and stability in the wrist.

* The thumb is sewn integrally to the boxing gloves and thus prevents both thumb injuries and accidental slipping of the thumb into the eye of the opponent.

CHOOSING THE RIGHT BOX GLOVE SIZE

The term "boxing glove size" is not actually a size, but indicates the weight of a single boxing glove in the unit OZ (1 OZ / 1 ounce = 28.35 gr). The goal of this OZ specification is not to adjust the size of the boxing gloves to the size of the hand, but to adjust the desired protection of the boxing gloves to the punching power of the carrier. The rule is simple: the heavier the boxing glove in OZ, the more padding it has, and thus the higher the level of protection (due to increased shock absorption) it provides. Even though the heavier boxing gloves (which has more OZ) are usually also slightly larger than the lighter ones, this difference in size is not the deciding factor. When choosing the number of OZ it is very important to consider first of all the punching force resulting from the body weight (body mass x acceleration = force) and secondly the role the boxing gloves should play in the training. The heavier (and thus the assumption) the stronger the athlete is, the heavier boxing gloves ( due to better protection by thicker padding) the athlete should wear.

The second most important criterion when choosing the OZ: what purpose should the boxing gloves be used for during training? You need relatively little padding, i.e. few ounces, if the boxing gloves are only used for punching bag and prat training, because low ounces are already sufficient to protect the hand. Higher ounces are needed for partner training because you also want to protect your partner from injury and pain with the slightly thicker padding. The heaviest boxing gloves, those with significantly larger OZ numbers and the thickest padding, are used for sparring because you want to guarantee the best damping of hard blows and thus also the best possible protection from injury. You can see that in the choice of the right " size of boxing gloves " is not the size of the hand (although not completely unimportant), but especially the punching power, which results largely from the body weight and also the function that the boxing gloves should fulfill in training.

FUNCTION OF BOX BANDAGES - important note:

The boxing gloves should always be worn with (fresh) boxing bandages because:

* the boxing bandages bind the hand into a compact unit so that the punching force (of one's own) is distributed over a larger fist area and over several knuckles of the hand. This reduces the load on individual knuckles and thus the risk of injury.

* Boxing bandages stabilize the wrist very well and minimize the risk of twisting in the joints and associated injuries.

*the boxing bandages very effectively absorb sweat from sweaty hands and therefore protect the boxing gloves from moisture, which significantly shortens the life and functionality of both the synthetic leather and padding.
